Who we are

What we collect

• Account data: email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your name and profile picture.
• Profile preferences: the answers you give during onboarding (personas, energy, time, budget) and adventures you save or complete.
• Billing data: handled by our payment provider; we receive a transaction reference, not your card details.
• Technical data: basic logs (IP, browser, timestamps) needed to keep the service secure and working.

• To create your account and provide the Service.
• To personalise the adventures we suggest.
• To process subscriptions and handle refunds.
• To keep the Service secure and diagnose problems.
• To reply when you contact us.

Legal bases (UK/EU GDPR)

Performance of a contract (running your account), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), consent (where required, e.g. optional cookies), and legal obligations (tax, accounting).

Sharing

We use trusted processors to run the Service: our hosting and database provider, our payment provider, and our email provider. They only process data on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we're legally required to keep records (e.g. invoices).

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email support@betterthanscrolling.comand we'll handle it. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We don't use advertising cookies.
